opteron 170

my opteron 170 (DC, 64K, 1MB) @2.01GHz works at 32C/39C.
could you let me know if the voltages are acceptable??

cpu vcore should either be 1.35V or 1.4V stock. Other than that really nice system.

i'm confused by the difference between cpu voltage and core voltage.

usually cpu voltage is referred to as the vcore voltage.

hmmm, that's what the NVmonitor shows me. i dont know much about it too. i'm very new at this.
anyways, i would post the voltages from the m/b bios.

so you mean to say that there should only be two voltages: vcore and memory??
also, i should be able to change the vcore form the bios too, right??

yes. the voltage from the bios would be a better indication of which it is.

are you using any dividers on your mem?

2.6 is good but once you start getting higher, you're gnna need to up the voltage

yes. the voltage from the bios would be a better indication of which it is.

2.6 is good but once you start getting higher, you're gnna need to up the voltage

no memory dividers. i have just put the parts together this weekend. not o/cing anything yet as i dont have experience. btw, what do you mean by higher in the previous post - o/cing??

if you turn down your voltage on the cpu to 1.35v or so i think that is enough too lazzy to look your temps will probably drop down a little maybe 30C

Disregard NVMonitor's Vcore reading. It's a bug in the program. NVMonitor reports 1.55VCore on my system also, no matter what the actual VCore is. D/L the CPU-Z and read the VCore from there.
