Opteron 170 Core 0 a bum core?

my opteron 170 on my asus a8n32-deluxe is awesome it overlocks beyond 2.8 at least core 1 does.... core zero failed a few hundred Mhz ago and refuses to perform anywhere near the performace of core 1 .....

is core 0 just a bum core or is it some other problem?

temps are all under control using a wc setup....

So now ask yourself, is it worth ramping up the voltage to core0 in order for it to keep up with core 1?

i have to run 1.55 volts to be prime stable both cores themps at 47 c load

for 2.8 GHz? That's great then... 1.55 should be ok as you're on watercooling and the temps are under 50C...

whats the difference between water and air as long as its under 50c? mine is at 1.55v and its at 50c on arctic freezer 54 pro

If you have high end air, that's also fine. As long as your cooling solution is able to absorb quick rises in temps, which are more significant / likely with higher volts...
