i need to know whether is this chip coldbugged because i am getting a vapochill frm a dealer soon and i dont wanna waste my money on something that hates the chill.

hmm..wait a min. arent u using a phase change on the exact same opteron as mine?

Basically CCB1E processors don't operate on a single stage on anything greater than about 240 HTT. I was able to hit 333 HTT on a 165 by using massive volts and prime loading to hit +25c, at that point it was warm enough to handle 3 Ghz but then crashed. HTT too high. And that chip did 3.1 Ghz on water.

i cant even prime at 2.92gh on water, cant boot at 3ghz.
crap. and i am already at 1.57vcore

Maybe you got a bad one. Hope you have a good board. Make sure your temps don't get too high either.
