I'm just wondering... my current processor can run with a maximum HTT of 305. is this number limited by the processor or by the motherboard, or both? I'm just wondering because if i get a 165 then I'd be limited by the 305 HTT combined with the 9x multiplier which would only take me up to 2.7ghz. What do you guys think? thanks in advance

HTT itself is a Mobo restriction. Whether or not the cpu will be able to do that a 9x is hardly certain though.

311 was my max stable HTT on my Neo2..

You can try and up the chipset voltage, and even the LDT bus to see if you can maximize the HTT just a bit more..

I would shoot for the 10x if you think 300 or so is your limit.. Unless you can swing 330+ go for the 10x!

My abit an8 ultra board will boot at 395, now that I messed with the voltage, I will see if I can get a boot with 400

what volts are you setting that at, and is the cooler on there similar to the DFI lanparty one?

How did you guys get upto 395 i mean what is your multiplier.

I was testing my board's max HTT, i dropped the HT multiplier to 2.5X and went up in increments until windows wouldn't boot. Stopped at 395, I don't run the processor like that although I probably could.

Right now with the HT multplier at 4x and my HTT at 300 I run great with my HT bus over 1200.

Ok i thought you was running your HTT at 3X and went upto 395FSB.
