Finally, managed to get the following config working as it should:
- DFI lanparty Ultra-D SLI
- Opteron 165, revision: JH9-E6, stepping 2
- 4 x 512 mb ddr500 kingmax = 2gb total
- 7900GT Asus
- onboard sound/lan
- 250gb hitachi sataII, maindrive
- 160gb hitachi sataII, secondary
- Coolermaster stacker 810
- Coolermaster 550W PSU
- Zalman CNPS 7700 Al-Cu cooler
- 20.5" Philips 200W6 1680x1050
- 17" Samsung 174T 1280x1024 secondary (same height as the philips)
- Logitech G5
- Logitech G15 keyboard (I love it)
- External Nec 3550 DVD-RW in USB2.0 case
- 2 x 120mm fans
- Audigy 2 ZS Platinum (with external bay)
Opteron 165 (dual core, 1.8ghz stock) stable at 2700mhz
Multiplier x 8
HTT 338mhz
8 x 338mhz = 2704mhz
voltage 1.568v
Memory at 225mhz (cpu/12)
Cas: 3
Ras to cas: 5
Ras precharge: 5
Cycle time (Tras): 10
TRC: 12
Command Rate: 2T
So far prime stable with Small FFT torture and Blend tests.
The rig is simply flying. After boot everything opens in a split second.
Main thing to do it seems is to get the DRAM configuration done properly. I usally opted for Mid to Mid-slow ram timings because my ram isn't very good and I can't buy anything else where I live...basically stuck with this.
