Let?s start with the situation that my rig cpu temp lift up 3C, so I uninstalled everything?Lets take a look at how the thermal paste was applied on my CPU. (first time putting Tpaste)

How My Tpaste Looks

1.I think my fist noob error was applying to much TP
2.The center seems to have less paste than the edges
3.I applied the TPaste, put the HS, lifted the HS (maybe created bubbles) then put it back and rotate it clockwise.

Here is the HS surface so you have an idea on the TPaste on it.

This is how I installed it, I used the original metal backplate

I just put the two screws (yellow arrows) and tight them until the H Clip seems very solid.

If you are expert putting TPaste and HS, !!PLEASE!! Give me your opinion?

I will post the pics of how the TPaste looks and (amount and area)

Now ill go around the web to read how I (remove/install) the TPaste correcty

Thanks For Your Time

Ill buy a AS5 later...but i just want to build this rig..

TT Big Typhoon came with that TP so ThermalTake wont be to stupid to include a super cheap TP that makes the product run badly.

First things first, get AS5.

Anyway, wether you have AS5 or not, the Thermal Paste should only be a "haze" over the surface. It is most important in the middle, but you can spread it all around if you like. Remember, grain (big grain for such a large area) of rice and HAZE. You should be able to see the lettering through the stuff.

I think. Anyone remember my AS5 on GPU thread? Well...thats for another day 😉
