opteron 165 overclocking with 9x multi??

im running it on a DFI lanparty ultra-d 2x512 Corsair XMS pc3200 CT with soon to be opteron 165. I dont plan on overclocking my memory at all. will this be a problem with the 9x multi?

The difference between the Opteron 165 and X2 3800+ besides clock speed and cache, is that Opteron's are made for workstations. Harsher environments. Supposedly made with better silicon, they can take more and therefore overclock better.

You should be fine with the Ultra-D and the 165 unless you get a really good chip. The 9x multi can actually become a hinderance for even the DFI boards. The 10x multi can come in handy if you get a good stepping.

hmm was talking about the diffence between a 9x multi and a 10 times not the diffence from opteron and x2 3800+
