Opteron 165 + Abit AN8 SLI?

Abit's site says nuthing, And as for going with a dfi board i allredy have the abit and dont want to go to something els, I have herd this board is a vary good OCer anyway.

Have a fue questions thow, First what is all this i keep reading about "stepping"? Could some one please exsplain a bit on it. Second Is there any benchmarks compairing the 165 to other cpus? I searched a bit but couldent find anything, maybe like a 165 vs x2 3800?
 
type "opteron 165 vs x2 3800" in yahoo and you will find all the results you'll need.

as for steppings, you could do the same but i'm not sure how much it'll help. from what i know (which could be wrong) cpu's with a good stepping OC better than others. i believe you can determine it by the model/chip #
 
Tryed searching and dident find any actual benchmarks of anykind. Just people saying that its better... Maybe you have a link? 😀

You saying this just becuse there both 939? Im no dumbass i know there the same socket, Mobo just doset "officaly" support it, Just want to make sure u mean that it dose work with this mobo w/o any problems other than that the cpu will fit...
