Similar thing happened to me on the last 165 deal, decided I did not need another OEM chip sitting around when I have a 170 doing 2.5 on near-stock volts. I called them and they said that it normalls takes 2 weeks to refund a charge....it is just funny because I canceled before my card was charged. Anyway I called and they said they could do a quick refund for me, but I am still waiting lol. Could have received the chip and sold it by now.

@ Spinejam, have you installed the latest BIOS on both boards? I know it is unlikely but maybe they do not have BIOS that support dual core installed yet...

Yes, both motherboads have updated bios' to run opty's.
 
Those ASS_ _ _ _ _ still have not refunded my $. Same check's in the mail story so I turned-over the case to my CC company. Monarch is a bunch of CROOKS.
 
New coupons enabled today. All coupons now working again. They must be trying to move stock or something lol. 😛

They also raised the coupon values! of some of them as well. Ill update thread in a sec. God I wish I could post the coupon codes.<sigh> Anyways happy hunting.

EDIT: One item you might want to note: The opty 146 is now $60 off coupon instead of $30! Brings it to $158.90 shipped!






I know. They are a little slow. The last time it took them a whole 30 days to refund me on an item I canceled.

Wow, my processor has already shipped, and only after two days. This is much faster than last time I ordered from Monarch. However, I am worried, because an Invoice I received today does not show the $60 discount that should be on my Opteron 165. The e-mail I received automatically minutes after placing my order two days ago reflected the $60 savings, but the one I got today does not! I am going to try and contact customer service. I'll update here to let you know how it turns out.
 
Looking at my bank statement, it looks like I was charged the correct price (reflecting the coupon) rather than the price on the invoice I received today, so I guess it's OK.

The same thing happen to me but I called them up and they said the $60 off coupon was used. If not keep original email order with $60 off coupon and dispute it if ordered with CC company.
 
The invoice will reflect the full non-coupon price. DOnt worry about it. Your CC will only be charged the correct discounted coupon price. I think their system does it that way for rebate purposes.
 
gah... thinking of selling my A64 3200+ on ebay and getting a 146... or biting the bullet and getting a 165.... but what would i use 2 cores for?

Yeah, good question. My excuse: Oblivion has multiple threads of execution in order to take advantage of the multiple cores on the XBox360 and they're using the same scheme on the PC, so it will alocate threads for physics, graphics and AI among the two cores on my future dual core CPU.
 
This makes me mad. I just bought a 146 from Tankguys for $194 on Friday afternoon and it already shipped out. :|
