Opt 144 voltage questions

My opteron 144 is supposedly stock @ 1.4v

But ever since I got it both the BIOS and CPUz have been telling me it's getting 1.42v. Right now the voltage is only set at 1.5v, but the bios and cpu-z say its getting 1.52... is it really getting the said amounts? If so why?

Maybe, but the sensors are never perfect. But think about it, .02v is not anything at all. Do some research on your board and see if it normally over/undervolts. BTW, Rollo is not fair or balanced. Not that I want to start discussing him in this thread.

Thanks for dragging the video forum garbage into this forum.

To stay on topic, the voltage fluctuates and it really isn't a big deal. I set 1.45V in my bios for my Opty 146 and according to CPU-Z it fluctuates from 1.408-1.452V

cpuZ reports a lower value than actual for my DFI Ultra-D. Although I have not physically checked with a DMM, I have been told the value entered into the bios IS the voltage that is being fed to the cpu. That info was verified by a user with a DMM. I currently have 1.450 volts entered into the bios (0%) and cpuZ reads 1.420v. A 1.525v entry yeilds a 1.475 reading. I always keep that in mind when adjusting so that I don't exceed my 1.550v actual limit....

Did you try evga's forums? They may have more info on your boards actual voltage...
