*sigh* Some 4chan person posted on the Oprah message board that he's touched over 9000 penises. The video called 'Over 9000' spawned an internet meme; I got it instantly and it's incredibly rude of that person, but it's also hilarious (and Oprah got pwned).
Edit: They also said they're a part of a large known pedophile network..and 4chan is surely that.
Further, this email was in response to a recent show she did about internet pedophiles. I think it was only 2 or 3 shows prior to this. She opens this show with somewhat unplanned message, mentioning that her inbox was "deluged" with vile and vulgar messages. (out of the gutter, gents

This one about "we have 9000 penises ready to go" is the one she read. Frankly, I didn't know the reference to 9000, but it smelled of internet tomfoolery to me. only 5 minutes ago do I get this confirmation on this thread.

From my knowledge of the law, sending Oprah an e-mail isn't a crime.
it's the possibility of their prank evolving into something more serious than their intent.
It's fine if they want to point out the lunacy of the media, as they have done before. I've never disagreed with that in this thread.
I don't know why you guys keep repeating this when it really isn't my point.
So..what happens when their hoax has inspired an indefinite number of individuals who take this issue seriously? They flex their power to do something about it, but their crusade is undermined by all of this being a hoax.
My point, is that they just might have to deal with pissing these people off. /b/ seems to have picked the wrong issue, to which many people are sensitive (whether or not you attribute it to media-driven paranoia, or the simple fact that there really is a problem), for this angle of their crusade.
