Oprah is at a rally

I herd on the radio that she did well at the rally. Had to get out of my truck before they played the highlights though.

She is self made, not so confident she helps. I think she helps as much as she hurts for a net zero result.
I doubt Oprah really hurts that much. Yeah, people that were already going to vote for republicans still will, but I doubt many that would've voted democrat will decide not to. Some other celebrates might have the power to turn people off, but I don't see that being the case with Oprah. But if Clint Eastwood's performance at the RNC didn't turn people off, I don't know what would.

I really would like to believe that. But I live in a world where racial and gender bias is very real. Oprah has overcome that a lot, but its a very different thing to just make money in America versus being an effective political leader, as has consistently been shown. And I personally am especially worried about any cult of personality, as even when you agree with them, weird things happen and things can get out of hand. And a lot of people on the right will try and spin her as the Left's version of Turmp (which is hilarious seeing as how different they are, but sadly that will be effective on a lot of people). We saw how Obama galvanized extremism from Republicans/conservatives. What do you think a strong, outspoken black woman might elicit? Granted, I'm not sure at this point it matters, and don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we shouldn't consider Oprah just because the conservatives are prone to being psychos (operating on their dumbshit mentality of "well if you hadn't done it we wouldn't have had to do what we did" type of fucked up behavior), but we've seen the true character of conservatives. And I hope that people are realistic about how they're acting and what it will take to overcome it.

Wait, was she doing the rally for herself? I'm completely against her running for president*, I thought she was rallying for someone else.

*I think anyone considering running for president needs real government experience first.

"I'm with her," says Oprah Winfrey.

The media icon declared her support for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton while speaking to Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell at the premier of her drama "Greenleaf" on Wednesday night.
"I really believe that is going to happen. It's about time that we make that decision," Winfrey said of a female president."

Good.

Still chanting "Lock her up!", huh?

She stated in a very clear way that she has no intention to run for any office, she is not testing the waters, she does not want to go in the water.
*She is a smart version of Trump. Wealthy beyond belief and sees no reason to ruin her life*

Oprah helped Obama against Hillary.

She's so much of an icon Trump is too much of a chickenshit to bad mouth her when asked yesterday.
