OUCH! That looks like it will hurt! Be careful, I have heard of people who have parts of their ear pierced and the piercer hits a nerve and numbs the side of your face forever.

I find tragus piercings cool, thinking about getting mine done as well. As with all piercings some people have told me that it didn't hurt them at all, others have told me that it does hurt a lot.

Ariel: that almost never happens, and that can only be with an eyebrow piercing. pinch your eyebrow, and if you flinch, the nerve is there. all piercings are safe so long as you take care of them and have an experience piercer do the poking

toolgirl: yeah, it's my first but i've done my research and my girlfriend is very experienced with these things(even if she does live 1000 miles away )

Ariel, it can happen. But I heard most of those cases happen at Claire's type mall places, where the piercer often has little or no training or experience. If you go to a tattoo parlor, the piercers there pretty much know their stuff and the risks involved.

Toph, piercings can be so much fun!!! After the initial pain I think it is worth it. Just be sure to clean it regularly and otherwise keeps your hands off it to prevent infection.

no problem oh, and NEVER GO TO CLAIRS! piercing guns are evil... they're unsanitary and are good for nothing more than lobes(even for that they're awful) if you get a cartilige piercing with a gun, it shatters the cartilige(like a bullet through glass) always go to a reputable piercing/tattoo studio

As they said last night in a TV show - the human body is the ideal canvas to paint and decorate.
I think the pain is worth it for the benefits afterwards. I hate pain, but I endure it during piercings because I know how much I will love the piercing afterwards. In order to get the tattoo or piercing you have to earn it. You earn it through pain.
Why "modify" the body? Because it's fun, because I can, and because I want to.

well i'm planning on gettin my tongue pierced(actually getting a Viper - two barbells) and i don't think i'm going to be doing that...
