I've already chosen my components, so my question applies mostly to how to best configure the fans in this situation. The final components will arrive in the next day or so, and in the meantime all input most welcome :)

Here's what I have:

Asus A7V133 w/Athlon Tbird 1.2/266
Sk6/Delta hsf
Evercase (from newegg) with included 80mm side fan
2 additional 80mm Enermax fans
Enermax 350watt ps w/dual fans

The side fan included seems to be setup as an intake which would pretty much blow directly towards the cpu which is fine I guess, but the air path is awfully close to the rear fan opening. Given all of these conditions would you go with 2 intake 1 exhaust or vice versa, and which would you put where?

I have some notions about it, but won't taint your responses by stating my ideas. Thanks!

ps- I can't host pics, but the case is shown at newegg if you're interested.

:)

You're on the right track. The Enermax will be a big help. Just make your fan to the right of you're mini DIN's and USB's blowing in, and another in front blowing in, and make sure your side fan is blowing in also or it will pull out the CPU's air.

I think that the airflow should always be from front to back, because the PSU will be exhausting out the back. So I would add an exhaust fan in the back, an intake in the front and have the side fan also blowing in.

I'm inclined to agree with you both, thanks.

It seems as though the side fan by default is set to exhaust, but as of now my plan is one enermax in back to exhaust, the other in front as intake (it passes by the hdd and over pci slots of course) and the side fan to intake as well.

Still have my ears open for last minute input! :)
