Opinions please!!

I'm in the process of updating my mother's pc. I think i'm probably gonna go with something in the neighborhood of a celeron 600. Can someone suggest a decent MB to use with the celeron? Overclocking isn't a huge priority, but I'd like to have the flexibility to tinker a bit. Also, would you use the cheap memory from accessmicro ($57 for 128mb pc 133) or would you stay away from the cheap stuff? Thanks for your help!

If you're buying a new cpu and mobo on a budget, duron is the way to go. Celeron2s are just too slow and more expensive. Accessmicro/Mcglen/Techsummer zeus ram is ok if you can live with cas3 and conservative timing

I agree dont build a cel when you can go with a duron and as for the cheap ram that is what i use and it seems to work great.

Thanks Tonec. Conservative timing isn't to much of an issue, because I don't think I'll be overclocking (well, maybe a little 😉 ). I'll have to check into the Duron.
