I've narrowed down my search to 2 bikes...the Schwinn 231 Text has excellent reviews on Amazon and almost every websites praises it as well. I found a guy on selling a brand new one locally for $375.

The other option I'm considering is the Star Trac ST750 Text. I haven't found any meaninful reviews on it, but I know Star Trac is pretty huge in commercial gym equipment and the bike looks pretty cool 😛. The main advantage over the Schwinn would be the Costco assurance. Which would do you guys think its a better buy?

I originally missed the "exercise" part of your title. I was all ready to make fun of you as a bearded, pot-bellied super-nerd. Since I don't know if that's applicable to recumbent exercise bike users, you may proceed with your thread unmocked by me. 😛

I've got the Schwinn 231 at home. It's a nice bike. Very comforable, quiet, and smooth. Only a few small complaints.

1, the fan is useless. It's too underpowered and doesn't point the right angle to do anything.

2, I'm 6' tall and the angle of the LCD makes reading the display very difficult. You really have to lean forward to get a non washed out view of things.
