Opinions on the Zalman Reserators?

Hey guys, what do you think of the fanless liquid cooling kits that Zalman make, the reserators 1 and 2? I've read several reviews that say they have good cooling performance and obviously they benefit from being silent, but I have also heard that because the radiator is not actively cooled they wouldn't be much good for cooling hot processors and GPUs and are all in all a bit of a gimmick.

Now I'm in the market for some aftermarket cooling for my first build, because the stock cooling isn't quite satisfactory and it's rather noisy. The complete silence of the reserators appeals to me, and I think i can afford the kit, but do you think it would be an acceptable compromise for cooling a 125W phenom II and a Radeon 6850 that seems to run quite hot as well? Or would I be better off with some high-end coolers and case fans (I was thinking Scythe Ninja 3, Coolink GFXChilla and 2x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm case fans)
