Opinions on the Shure SRH840

What's the verdict on these headphones? I'm primarily going to be using them for gaming with an X-Fi. I'm currently using Sennheiser HD280 Pros. The sound is flat and the bass response is pretty poor. I'm looking for something that gives me overall good range in sound and bass that doesn't cut out the mid and highs.

Go to Head-fi forums (http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/) and search for SRH840. You will get more than you ever wanted to hear about them. I've spent waay too much time there over the last few days looking for the perfect pair of headphones in my price range, and the SRH840 has consistently been at the top. If you are looking for a more "fun" pair of headphones that are easy to drive, the SRH440s might fit the bill too. Either way, I am sure they can suggest a perfect pair for what you are looking for.

I may have a pair of SRH840s in the next week or so, depending on how things work out.
