Virginia is very red in the South, very blue in the north. My gun-toting, church-going, Republican father-in-law from southern VA liked him just fine.

Apparently he always did really well in the rural areas. It sounds like a Warner/Baye ticket would be great.

Probably would be all right. We are going to need a decent administration in the executive branch in these coming years, after the "deficits don't matter" types we have in now.

The reason people hate Hillary is entirely due to sexism. SEXISM. Sure, lot's of conservatives don't like hillary's liberal political philosophy but that's not enough to account for the amount of hatred that people have towards Hillary. The reason so many people hate hillary is pure sexism. They can't stand a woman that's not in her place and is so ambitious. (of course, almost all male politicians are ambitious)

i actually agree with you that there is a degree of sexism to it, but mainly what i hate about her is her democratic party principles..such as censorship

I thought it had more to do with her husband's infidelity. After all, as the wife, Jesus says it must be her fault.

I agree, Warner appears to be the dems best shot.

Warner is a moderate and has no national political baggage. Repub's Rovian tactics won't work well as they will have a hard time grasping for issues.

Like it or not, elections are decided by the party capturing the middle ground.

I totally agree. I just don't think we need another warmonger up there. It would be nice if Warner would change his position.

Oh BS. She's a authoritarian mean spirited ambitious asshat lier (lawyer) who lacks compassion and common decency. Too many stories like how she treated the apolitical carrer people in the White House travel office. The Rose law firm records dissapearing until the statute ran out. etc.

My dislike and distrust of her hasn't gotten a d@mn thing to do with what she is, or is not, packing in her shorts.
