I was quite looking forward to playing this game after getting it for just £12. I've heard lots of good things about it. But I've had loads of problems with it.
First, big patches of land went black. After experiementing for a bit, I found out switching shadow detail from VERY HIGH to MEDIUM fixed the problem. The strange thing, everything runs so smoothly apart from the black holes in the land. Also have problems with see-through walls. My system should cope with this (3.4Ghz CPU 2Gb RAM 6800 GTo).
Then theres sound. Hardware mixing doesn't work, and consequently neither does EAX. Despite having an Audigy 2 ZS, which works with everything else.
Then theres the game itself, just seems a bit stupid to me. I don't think it plays very well at all. It's neither realistic nor arcade-style. Well I guess its ok, just expected better, I suppose it is a year or so old now though, and is obviously not going to compare with a lot of the better games out there.
Have you had any problems, bad experiences, big dissapointments with this game?
