So, I'm thinking about getting a smart phone, never had one before. I've always been slow on the cell phone front because I think the prices are ridiculous. Hence why I'm interested in Boost, lol. I've looked around the web and havent really been able to find any info from people who actually have it. Anyone here ever use it? I'm referring to their Android phones and/or their $50 unlimited plan.
 
I haven't used their plans or service, but I do know they use the Sprint 3G network. Minus the roaming on Verizon's network. Something to keep in mind . . . Sprint usually doesn't have the greatest coverage or data speeds.

Pretty much that... and if you are fine with a lower end device I'm sure you'll be happy, esp. if you have solid Sprint coverage where you live/work. Plus they have that bill shrinkage which means your bill goes down over time if you stay with them and pay your bill on time.
 
Now that Straight Talk will be officially BYOD on their unlimited plan you might think about going with Straight Talk/GSM smartphone $45 a month instead of the boost route if you can swing for a better phone.
 
I have a EVO 4g on Boost, you can flash it yourself if you have some computer knowledge. I'm on the $50 plan that drops $5 every 6 months until it hits $35, I don't use data so I can't comment on that. But in a year I'll be paying $35 a month for great coverage with unlimited everything.

So you have data but you dont use it? The unlimited plan does include data correct?

So only certain smart phones work with this service? GSM? Im assuming thats some sort of signal?
 
If boost only uses the sprint network, then you're better off using Virgin mobile. They have $35 and $45 plans with unlimited data, and you can get an optimus v android phone for less than $100.

Any ATT smartphone will work with 3g data. I'm not sure about t-mobile though; I think those will be limited to edge.
 
I sold a ton of Boost phones while working at Radioshack. If you live in an area that has good Sprint coverage, you will love a Boost smartphone. The Galaxy Prevail sells like hot cakes.

The $5 off every 6 months is nice as well.
