I'm going on vacation soon, and I'm looking at getting one..

The Canon G2 looks nice, but is a bit pricey... esp when you add more memory, and stuff

The Sony CyberShot DSC-S75, seems nice as well... and more in my price range...

Any other Ideas?

coolpix 885 or 995... i like the 995 a little more myself. lens is longer on the telephoto end, though i'm sure the f-stop is hideously slow at that point. plus its got more shooting modes. 995 is $599 at dell and has a $100 rebate on it, in addition to whatever dell is giving away, which is 10% off digicams. so thats 440. if you look around you might find some other coupons that you could use to drive the price lower.

Do you want a good point-and-shoot camera or a camera that has tons of manual features. If the latter, get a G2 (or even a less-expensive G1). If more the former, then look at the Canon S30. If size is an important issue, consider the Canon S330. I am very partial to Canon, but Nikon also makes great digicams. Sony does too, but I don't like Memory Stick technology.
