Opinions of video card update please.

I have an Asus A7V133 with an Athlon 1400 (non xp) and 512MB crucial RAM. I cannot afford to upgrade any other parts except the video card and am wondering which card I should pick since my system may not be able to take advantage of all the features. I currently have a Radeon 32MB and would be willing to spend enough to get a Radeon 9500 pro or maybe even a 9700 non pro. NVIDIA is not out of the question by the way.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
 
Wait 3 weeks and pick up a cheap ATI 9700 Pro, who's prices should be dropping rapidly over the next few weeks as the 9800 is apearing now.
 
Any other opinions? Fallen Kell, I had thought of the 9700 Pro as you suggest, but I really want to know whether my rather dated system can take advantage the power that these cards have.
 
$200 for a 9500 Pro or about $240 for a 9700. Either should be fine, a 1400MHz Athlon is not too slow for either board. Depening on what games you play and how willing you are to tweek, you could easily flash a 9700 into a 9700 Pro, as there are some instances where a 9500 Pro is better than a 9700 considering the $ you save...
