Is it still just a branded Mozilla? Did they split off their development since AOL dumped them?

HA! Go to netscape.com with IE!!!

Its not a Mozilla branded brower. Its Netscape 8.

I'm not impressed with the way opening new tabs is handled... Firefox is smoother.

Not bad. But it quits on me every so often when going to different web sites. Just closes it's self down. Noticed it with going to the ebay home page. Only had the ebay page load once for me.

I installed it, it crashed importing bookmarks from FF. Surfed around with it for 5 mins, crash 2 more times. Uninstalled.

AOL sucks, they shouldn't be allowed to use the Netscape name...

Me too, haven't used Netscape for years but gave it a try today and was quite pleased. I'll have always a spot in my heart for Firefox but the fact is there are still a good number of sites that just don't cooperate with it (certain online banking, oxford for med. claims, online accounting pages, all sorts of official sh--) but I was able to do all kinds of work-related browsing cause NS was switching to the IE engine on the fly as necessary. That alone makes me want to stick with it for awhile...
