Opinions of KDS notebooks?

I'm looking to spend about $1500 on a lappy and am trying to get the most for my money. I was looking at the KDS VALIANT 6480IPTD but I don't know anything about the brand other then the fact that they make monitors. The specs are exactly what I'm looking for (P3-800,20GB-HD, 128MB, 8X DVD, 8 MB video ram, 56K, LI-LON). I'd have to spend over 2k to get an HP or Toshiba of similar calibar.

But is it worth it to go with a cheap brand like this? I haven't been able to find any reviews of this model which makes me quite uneasy. I'd appreciate any input.

Power Notebooks. These people have a PERFECT Reseller Rating (and that means a LOT!!!).

Thanks for the link. They do seem to have some nice deals. But I'm still wondering about KDS. I found one yahoo shopping review that mentions that the unit I'm looking at uses a desktop processor, (hence why it's so much cheaper). Aren't those unstable in notebooks?

Desktop processors take up more power and create more heat. I wouldn't bother.
