opinions about lacie ? also anyone know what hdds/opticals they use ?

Not sure what hdd's they use, since I haven't taken my 250GB apart yet, but I can say that I'm very happy with it. The only issue I have is that the power cable doesn't plug in as firmly as I'd like, but overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase.
 
After a bit of searching, I found that LaCie has used NEC optical drives. For example, the LaCie d2 DL DVD±RW Recorder is recognised as the NEC ND-2510A drive in Windows XP.
