Opinion on upgrading GPU's

Hey everyone, I'm looking at upgrading my GPU. I currently have an XFX 310 7900 xt, looking at upgrading to either the XFX Mercury 9070 XT OC for $1179 or the Sapphire Nitro 9070 XT OC for $1240. There about the only 2 available right now in my area. There is this one as well Gigabyte 9070 XT OC Triple fan, for $899 but I'm not sure about the Gigabyte card performance and quality, its cheap though at 899

I can sell my 7900 xt for basically the same as what I paid for it, but I guess my question is , is it really worth the upgrade? I'd like to have the new card, a little better performance and the 4.1 upscaling would be nice.

Out of the 3 cards I listed above the gigabyte is the cheapest but does anyone know how it compares to the other 2 cards. I know the game clock and boost clock for the gigabyte isn't quite as high as the XFX i'm not sure about the sapphire.

any thoughts would be appreciated thanks

its a sidegrade but still id say YES, because the 7900XT and 7900XTX is the #1 most hated card after 8GB cards to gamers.

The 9070XT will give you less driver headache's and is overall a more durable card from what im hearing then a 7900XT, which is also why AMD no longer makes flagship cards, because even they knew they messed up on the 7900XT.

I would still consider it a side grade.

If you really want alittle bit better RT performance and FSR4 do it if not hold out for RDNA 5.
When could we expect to see RDNA 5 ? biggest issue there could be price by the way things are going.

Sounds good, if the price difference is not too big I would probably do it. Due to better raytracing performance and FSR4 the RDNA4 cards should have better resell value.

Regarding the cards listed: personally I would avoid the sapphire due to the power connector, but otherwise it's the best card from the three. Personally I would probably go with the Gigabyte due to the significant price difference and if necessary use a ghetto mod with noctua fans if the card is to noisy.

There is only one thing I'm sceptical about: how will the support from AMD look like once RDNA5 is released. Will they ditch it like previous cards? RDNA5 sounds like a big change compared to previous gens, so it wouldn't suprise me if FSR5/Diamond (or whatever name AMDs marketing department pulls out of their hat) is exclusive to RDNA5.
