great card.

note that you will need a decent CPU. and you meantioned ARMA, which is a game that wants more CPU than GPU.

you will also need a PSU with a PCI power connector.

You gotta wait until you get the system in and see what the PSU is like and how much room you have in the case. From your other thread the case looks a lot like a Thermaltake Versa H23, which looks to have a pretty nice clearance for long graphics card (and every XFX DD card is pretty long). Honestly though, this is not a great time to be buying a graphics card, as the prices have shot up pretty significantly from what they were last month (not even counting Black Friday and Cyber Monday). You already have a pretty nice card in the R9 270 preinstalled in your system, so I would just be really patient and check the Hot Deals thread. These are the kind of deals we had last month:

Be patient, and be ready to jump on a great deal when it shows up. Those 290's are going to have to come down again, because the GTX 970 isn't going anywhere and the cheaper GTX 960 should be coming out in January or February. I wouldn't buy a R9 280x for an R9 290 price when the R9 290 is a lot more powerful.

On second thought, $30 probably isn't a huge deal if it mains waiting a month to save it. I guess just post the details of your PSU when you get your computer to see if an R9 290 or R9 280x makes any sense. Your PSU will have a sticker like this on the side giving some more details of how capable it is to run higher end GPUs:

The most important number will be the amps on the +12V rail(s).

That is a terrible price for that card and while a 280x is a solid card that was one of the worst coolers for it. You can easily get a 290 for that price. A 280x with a solid cooler should be around $200 now. Even have 280s at $175 and have seen plenty of 290s for around $230-260.

The amps or watts on the +12V rail are what's important, and try to find the model name and model number of the power supply also to find out who made it and perhaps find some reviews on how well it delivers its stated 600W power. I'm guessing if they stuck a nice single rail XFX TS or EVGA PSU they'd be screaming it from the rooftops in their ad for the computer though, instead of just saying 600W with no model info.

This is where you can find who made your power supply:

http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page541.htm

It's often a different company from the branding on the power supply. For instance, XFX and Antec power supplies are often made by Seasonic, Rosewill uses lots of different OEMs in theirs', etc. But Seasonic also sells power supplies under its own brand name.
