I'm thinking of building a computer server out of this case so that it will fit on a shelf that I already have.

Has anyone used this case or have any opinions of it? Can any good deals be found anywhere on it?

Thanks in Advance for any help.

I read a few things over at bit-tech.net about this, I heard it was a good case. One guy did a total watercooling mod in it that looked fantastic.

i had one for close to a year, i don't now because it just got too unruly sizewise, but it's a solid case. the new versions have a different fan configuration, with a fan over the cpu area which is nice because there's no exhaust on the MB side. iirc there's a 120mm in the front, 2x 92mm exhaust on the drive side, and 1x 92mm on the side over the cpu. i got mine from some other place (can't recall the name, but i found it in a google search for the case) sans power supply, since i didn't need one. directron at that point didn't have the updated version and i didn't like the old cooling offerings. also, be sure you get extensions for your MB power cables, as you'll need them to reach (i did with 2 different boards), unless you've got super long ones or you just get lucky with placement. i had to run my MB power over the top of the divider. anyway, if you have any specific questions feel free to PM me. it's a nice solid case, and despite some bad info from reviewers you can lock it up relatively securely if need be (someone could get in, but some reviewers neglected to mention the front faceplate can be screwed into the case, thereby making the lock on the front door useful to someone just opening the case up at will).

Ok, good information to have.

I'm thinking about just going with a mATX case for now, but I need one that is under 14" tall. I guess that I could also go with a desktop type case.

It will need to hold a mATX board, Standard size power supply, 3 Hard Drives and 1 Optical Drive. I also have a Zip drive that is optional, but would be nice. (either 3.5 or 5.25 would do)

Any suggestions in that department?

yeh that case is pretty cool. i like the squared off look more, but that newegg one's got more to offer. front has nice holes for better airflow. front usb is a plus. and 250w ps (vs 150w in the other) should be good enough for whatever matx setup you have. oh and that tube thing to direct air from the cpu cooler is kinda neat. i wonder since not all boards are the same, what if your cpu isnt directly over it? anyways, i've liked my inwin so far and think its just solid overall.

edit: i think i just convinced myself to get this same case if i decide to build another comp.:)
