they were the pits in frat house jack-ass style idiocies. i can't say good riddance 'cause it wont take long
for some low-life radio producer to hire one or both of these losers.

as much as they exploited others, now imagine opie and anthony being signed only because a producer believes
he can exploit their noteriety for a fleeting bump in drive time ratings.

In a church, while services were going on? Yeah, happens all the time *rolls eyes*

Frankly, anything less than them getting fired would have been outrageous. I hope they never find work again.

Roger that. I remember when WYSP, like MTV, actually used to play music, and miss those days. I didn't mind too much when they put Howard Stern on, because that got the suckass John DeBella and his "Morning Zoo" show off the air on WMMR, but all the talk shows all day long now? Give me a break.

Good riddance, IMO. I have tried listening to O&A (I am a diehard Stern fan, and wanted to give them a chance since their fans are so adamant that they beat Stern at his own game), and found them more or less totally witless. They remind me of the stereotypical "morning zoo" radio show on the Simpsons.

Say what you will about Howard, but he is a natural wit - as far as I can see O&A just ripped off the least interesting part of the Stern show (the strippers, sex, etc.) without the comedy.

It's funny, but I feel the exact opposite. When I listen to Stern, I keep wondering why everyone worships him. He is boorish and unfunny and Robin's cackles are nothing but painful. O&A on the other hand are funny...

Anyhoo, just goes to show - to each his own...

Yeah. It's depressing news. Now what am I supposed to listen to on my way home from work every day?

It's a shame.

I agree that they did go a bit over the top but what they are not telling you is the only reason the cops arrested them was becaue the jackass comedian with the team in the church talked back to the cops.

The music industry sucks so bad right now talk radio has been the only thing I have been listening to for years in my car.

With Ron and Fez also possiably being let go as well my rides in the car are going to be getting a whole lot more boring.

this is the lamest thing.. there was no need for them to get fired.. people these days are so fn uptight.. live and let live.. o n a are just normal guys with a radio show doing things that normal guys think about and enjoy... if you cant see the humor in things and just go with the flow then you should just give up on life cuz your not getting it

The reason they were fired is because they were not willing to live and let live. They decided they needed to stage a contest which encouraged the participants to have sex in a church. The people worshiping in that church could not just "turn the dial" to escape a broadcast they did not like since the broadcast had been forced upon them in their church. To make matters worse the so called O&A army then took it upon themselves to flood the Catholic League with a ton of hate mail which only served to bolster their side as being the victims of this act. I heard the broadcast live and can tell you that what went out over the air was not likely to cause Infinity/Viacom to lose their license however with the press they were getting over this and likely to keep getting since the court case has now been pushed back to October left them little choice but to fire O&A.
