Agents with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Arizona have been "fighting" human trafficking by sending federal immigration agents to coerce suspected victims into paid sex acts. These acts were later used by authorities to justify arresting women who agreed to them, seizing their assets, and telling the press it was these women who were the real predators.

Because that is inhumane corruption pure and simple. The victims should be released, probably compensated, and the agents given prison.

Sting operation. Only they are attacking the victims, not the predators. Low hanging fruit, easier to catch. Agents can nab a "criminal", up their quota for the year, and get a promotion by looking tough on crime.

Hawaii finally had to pass an actual law to make it illegal for cops to bang or do anal with prostitutes for money while on the job. I can't find the article, so treat this as hearsay, but I remember reading that cops had never actually brought down a single pimp because they were able to bang prostitutes that they would have without banging prostitutes. In decades. Same as OP article, they just ended up sometimes busting a low level prostitute but usually not even bothering to do that. It seems to be much more focused on allowing cops to put their dick inside prostitutes without repercussion than actually doing anything good.

Wtf. This is what leo identifies as the criminal? How about the pimps or the ones putting the women in these positions. Extremely aggravating to read about and I am sure this isn't isolated.
