FreeBSD

[*]t's free
[*]it's versatile (use it as a desktop, and have other machines running as servers
[*]it has never crashed, and if some application crashes I can always recover
[*]lots of free software has been written/ported for it

Debian testing:

Debian is the one distrobution that I have used that feels like a complete operating system. apt-get is great, Debian isn't in a hurry to get up to version 10.0 like some distros that were released after it, and the community is great (with a few notable exceptions from Turkey...).

I use the testing version because Debian seems behind the curve of new software, and the only way to stay truly up-to-date is to run testing. If there are bugs, I can help by letting the developers know.

Win 2k
<--too lazy to switch to XP, and 2k still works, so why fix it if it's not broken?

Gentoo Linux
I like to run bleeding edge software, and have it compiled/optimized exactly for my system. It has a great package management system(portage). Plus the Gentoo community is really cool.

Win2K at home because MS doesn't make games for Linux. ;)

Win98SE at work, 'cuz that's what they gave us. ;)

Downloading RH8.0 as we speak to play with.

Windows 3.1 for Workgroups ;) I think I may still have the floppies for it...

XP Pro SP1 on main rig, Win2K on my older system.

Just got some more RAM though so I think I'll run a virtual Win2K environment soon...
