Opera -> Slow loading images?

Is it just me, or does it seem that Opera takes a bit longer than IE to load pages with a lot of images???

It seems that it renders the actual HTML a little bit quicker, especially if there are lots of tables.

However, I noticed that it took almost twice as long to load up the Anandtech home page in opera as it did in IE. It seemed especiallly laggy on grabbing the pictures.

Any thoughts on this??
 
IE has a feature that allows to "stream" pages as they load, meaning it can load the parts of the page it already got before the whole thing is finished, thats why with some large or complicated hoempages sometimes, IE will seem faster, as far as i know, IE is the only browser that has this feature.
