Opera Mini

I was playing around with Opera Mini on the a 8330 Curve and noticed its alot slower than the default BB browser and some web pages don't even load if you click on the links (you just get a blank white page). It's on a BES and definitely not a policy issue. Someone recommended toggling HTML and Socket for protocol but that didn't improve anything. Thoughts?

I've actually the exact opposite experience with my BB 8120 and opera mini. My BB browser has always been slower then opera and doesn't load a lot pages correctly. Opera mini is all I use unless I need to download something OTA. I'm with tmobile and therefore only have EDGE data speeds - are you on a 3G network or wifi even? Are you using the newest version of opera and your BB OS?

It's on EDGE but its not 3G and I'm not using wifi. I downloaded the latest versions of both BB OS and Opera Mini. I'm not sure what the deal is.

actually, since its a 8330, you would be either using 1x (slower, basically dial up speed) or 1xev (~500 to 1000 mb/sec). Im guessing you may be on 1x only.

Yeah I would try clearing your cookies cache and history - the cache in opera mini is under help then about. If that doesn't work just uninstall and reinstall opera mini.
