Opera crashing PC

So, I have this really strange problem. For some reason whenever I stream a video on the web with Opera it totally screws up my computer. It's hard to explain exactly but I'll do my best. First Windows Media Player opens and begins the process. I can hear the audio but no video. Then if I try to close the player down the whole screen goes crazy. It looks like the resolution is very low and the windows are transparent. Also the sound from the video stutters at random places. Every time this happens I have to completely restart my computer. I tried it with IE and Firefox, but there were no problems. This happens when using Opera 7.54 and 8 Beta3 in combination with WMP 10. Any ideas what the problem could be?

umm.. maybe you could just use IE/FF when viewing that particular content? just a suggestion.

Well, I could do that, but I'd like to fix the problem rather than ignore it. I can't stand it when something is wrong and I can't figure out how to fix it. I'll try using FFD Show and see if that fixes anything, but I don't think it will.
