and that is exactly what i ment by putting a folder in the personal bar

it works, somewhat, but i want more control. eg i want to be able to delete/add items into the folder and have the changes reflected in the bookmarks.

i use the bookmarks bar(personal bar in opera) as a temporary url storage and organization plac and i often transfer stuff between the toolbar and bookmarks. opera just doesn't offer that kind of flexibility for the personal bar. i know i can use the sidebar but the toolbar is far more convenient and space efficient.

when you add a bookmark to a folder adn that folder is in the personal bar it shoudl show up automatically

yeah but i haven't found out how to create a folder, transfer link into the folder, delete link/folder etc by using the toolbar exclusively. basically i want ALL of the functions of the bookmarks manager right on the toolbar.

i probably just have a really weird way of browsing ;) but both ie's and ff's toolbars have served me well so i'll continue to use them

so you want to be able to do it without going into the bookmarks folder/page deal, alright that makes sense,
i love the bookmark manager in opera

and absoutly hate it in IE

yeah the bookmarks manager in IE sucks. but FF's pretty nice :)

with the free code though I might try to use opera more and get used to it. i hate how FF takes up so much memory. combine that with azureus and something else it really chokes my machine

bah...i can't believe you're still using that

give a real browser a try for a week, you won't go back

I can't believe you're such a non conformist.. OMG.

IE works fine for 90% of the world, get over it.

If your definition of "much" is <5%, then yeah. IE hasn't fallen below 85% last I checked.
