Opera 7, by far the best web browser EVERY!!! title change requested by NOX

Anyone know how to set up a POP3 account in Opera? I cant seem to do it ...

Go to Mail-->New Account. First option is a POP3 account. Rest is just a wizard.

Anyone figure out why my sound wont play when e-mail comes in?

Also, what is everyone's cache settings at. I had to set them to always check everything because my Today page would be the same as my last visit.

umm not sure if its what you are looking for but try the personal bar under view-->personal bar
you can add your own links to there. hope this is what you were looking for.

Thats what I would figure but the only thing I can get to show up on that toolbar is Search options. Are you able to do it?

/EDIT......thanks, with that I figured it out...you have to right-click on the bookmark or bookmark folder, and then select "Show in personal toolbar". 🙂 (now I can get rid of this side panel.)

Thanks that helped, I too didn't like to have 25% of my page taken up by the side bar. However if you have a huge monitor, I guess it really wouldn't matter. 😉

I also see that you can change the color scheme of any skin, by going to: view>color scheme.

I remember that option on CB, however I don't thing opera7 does offer this feature. 🙁 Though I haven't tried everything yet. Usually I just hit new, and a new tap will appear.

Or you can just drag them up there from the bookmark list. There is also a 'personal' folder in the bookmark list that keeps track of what is up there so you can just drag and drop into that folder.

Wow, this Opera7 is quite fast. Hrm, I do like the overall speed of Opera, that's for sure. Combine Opera, with privoxy and I'm a happy camper when it comes to surfing the 'net. Although, time will tell if I'm a converted person from Mozilla (middle button to launch links in new tabs is so good), but we'll see.

NOX what exactly did you do?? WHen I type subscriber.anandtech.com in server it goes fine, when I also try to type it in domain it takes it away from server... you can only have it one or the other.. godamit this sucks I want this to work.

I noticed that if I go in my Anandtech profile, my browser is listed as Netscape 4, despite me choosing to be identified as Opera.

(middle button to launch links in new tabs is so good)

Opera lets you do that with a mouse gesture, just right click on the link and move the mouse down a little, then let go of the right mouse button. The mouse gestures makes things a lot easier.

Actually you have it correct. What I've been doing is trying both, if server does not work I will try domain. However, remember that before you can log into subscriber, there is forums.anandtech, so you need to include that in server also (maybe you have already?).

It is buggy, but I'm not ready to give up on it yet.

Anyone know why I get requests queued, despite the fact that I've put it on 100 max connections and absolutely nothing has loaded yet, and there are no other pages open?
