Anyone using it? Just installed it on my wifes windows partition. Pretty slick (I haven't tried it in years), and fast. Might have to give the linux version a shot.
I've been using it all day. It's a little faster than 6.05. Finally text loads (and shows) before images. Can't stand the Fisher-Price "XP-esque" buttons. They gotta go in the final.
works great for an hour or 2, then crashes for me- THEN when I try to open it again, immediately crashes, no matter which recovery settings I use. Re- install, same thing. Grrrrrrr....
still no good support for dynamic table, which is MS' DHTML format, not the standard DOM. Opera claimed it would support some D table feature, maybe only innerText... Well overall 7 is a major upgrade over 6.
Yeah, Opera is pretty pimp, I visited too many sites that didn't work with it well enough before, Hopefully that'll all be remedied when the final comes out. Still though, I can't afford $30 to buy it.
It's free if you can put up with the ad banner at the top otherwise it's $30 during the beta period and $40 thereafter. I'm nearly positive I'll buy it if they fix the bugs I've reported.
I concur: I have seen alot of the page rendering problems fixed so far- I remember reading about them saying they were tired of fighting the upstream battle of writing "proper" code, only to NOT have it work on so many sites that were set up improperly. They basically used code similar to MS's code, and now most sites display well. Lil bastard still loads pretty damn fast
Personally, I could do without the Mac-like icons. As for handling code and page rendering it seems a little improved. But it's still quirky with some CSS, which makes it butcher the rendering pretty badly of pages I create.
Seems cool, except that the "manage bookmarks" option doesn't work, so all my imported bookmarks are all over the place and I can't delete any of them.
