If "UsePrivilegeSeparation yes" is in sshd_config then you are not affected... *phew*

My home machine is now under the tightest of security! I had the ethernet cable pulled until I get a chance to mess with it :p

thats about the only way its going to be secure...of course locking the box in the closet after unplugging it would add an extra measure of security :D

I heard a really funny story from a friend of mine who is Director of Development for a small security firm. He was telling me that an online company had invested tons of money in Network, OS and Application level security.

Some guy walked into their office and physically stole the machine that had all of the client's credit card numbers on it :D

Security always has to start at Layer 0 and go all the way up to layer 8. Those who miss the top and bottom layers are going to get nailed, no matter how good the app or network is.

lol...you sir, then have a serious security problem at your house. I would recommend formatting and reinstalling your closet, this time with the lockable-closet-3.5b2-62.i386.rpm . :Q

My room doesnt use rpms, ports and source would be fine though. I use the really-messy-room-so-try-and-get-through-it.patch though.
