Opening ports on an Airport device

How do I open ports on my Time Capsule? I've never been able to find an understandable guide anywhere online for how to do this on an Apple wireless router, and the fact that the Airport Utility seems to change every time they update the operating system doesn't help (neither does Apple's penchant for choosing different words than other companies do, for the same functions).

This seems to be the closest I can find to what I'm looking for: "Port Forwarding". Unfortunately, my Airport Utility looks different enough than his that I'm completely confused. I don't have a tab that says "IPv6 Firewall"- just "IPv6." I also have a tab called "Port Mapping." What do these mean? Will one of them do what I want? The OS X Help dialog is utterly useless, essentially telling me to do what my IT person says.

1. Is "port forwarding" the same thing as "opening ports"? What does "port mapping" mean?
2. How do I open specific ports on a Time Capsule, for the whole network?

Thanks.

It's really quite straightforward. The entry in the second picture is for Remote Desktop.

Edit: Also, that guy's article you linked to is nearly useless. It's just for IPv6 traffic port forwarding. If you don't have IPv6 traffic enabled, the IPv6 Firewall tab doesn't appear. It has to be turned on from the IPv6 tab.
