OpenGL problems in XP

Hi
I wrote some time ago, that one of my friends had a problem with running OpenGL in win xp. At the time I didn't have any problems with my xp, but now... I updated my bios to the newest, and since then I had big trouple. Now every time I run counter-strike in OpenGL, cs crashes after about 30 sec. I tried to "downgrade" my bios to the 2. newest and then the 3. newest, but still nothing. I have the newest nVidia detonator drivers. I have no farking clue what my problem is, especially because I never had ANY problems with xp before. Please help me here.

Hmm.. I'm not a CS player but I have heard a few issues regarding CS and winXP.. make sure you have latest version of CS

new detonators JUST came out this week make sure you have those

WTF? where did you here that? No support for open gl? lol.. i've run at least 4 open gl games in XP just fine.

In most cases, XP runs them as good or faster than win2k or 98

Did you try reinstalling the nVidia drivers? Before installing the driver, go back to the standard VGA drivers then install the nVidia drivers. I hope that resolves the problem.

I'm having trouble with OpenGL & XP & CS. Quake III Arena runs fine, but for some reason CS won't even allow me to enter OpenGL mode (says no suitable device available - I have a GeForce 2 GTS). If I run in DirectX mode I also have a problem if I enter the game, then exit to the menu & then try to re-enter the game. I get just some background image from CS & nothing else. I have to press the console button & type 'quit'. I don't see the console, but it allows me to exit the game. I pretty much have to restart CS anytime I want to switch maps (unless I use the map cs_mapname command).
