Is it tough to set up a radius authentication setup?

Yea, there are a lot of things to ake into account here and there will need to be a lot of research done. This will probably take a few months to kick off as well. What I think i'm going to do is begin looking for local sponsors and hype it up a littl bit. Send out the little prepaid business mail cards and get a feeling to see if there is actually a need for this sort of thing before I invest too much of my time.

Maybe I can get some of the larger company that are dedicated to "serving the community" to share a few large pipes that might be going through their facility. If anyone has any other information that'd be willing to share, I'd appreciate that as well.

That's if it's available near you, But if it is you can probably become a wireless isp just with one of those pipes alone .

Radius software can be expensive. The package I set up is called NTTAC and costs around $2000 for unlimited users. It ain't cheap to secure wifi networks, I'll tell you that
