Thanks for the summary. I wasn't gonna watch it anyways and now I know I would have come out disappointed about 2 hours getting eaten by sharks.

That's not a spoiler, that's the whole script.

What is your purpose for posting this?

Well its not the script, But a summary. I posted this for the same reason I posted the summary for "The Village" Many people said thanks because I saved them $$$ So I am doing another post to save people money.

Well, people are stupid and you're just encouraging that.

If they aren't going to watch the movie why do they care about the story? Fvcking morons.

We don't want to watch it but we want to know the story. Anything wrong with that?

Seems like you've had a long day at work. Go to bed.

Yes there's something wrong with that. It's retarded. If you want to know the story, then watch the movie.

And this one is even easy to figure out. You KNOW they die at the end.

What if I don't want to waste 2 hours of my life? Figure that out Einstein.

How can you possibly get anything out of the spoiler that would make you actually want to watch the movie in the first place?

When you're sitting down for dinner at a nice place, do you ask them for a smaller, free portion of your meal so you can see make sure you don't waste your time and money?

If you read books at all, do you read the cliff notes of the whole story to know whether or not you should waste your time reading the actual book?

And then what happens if you've read this spoiler and for some strange reason you now want to watch the movie. Well, what's the point you already have a very detailed explanation of what's going to happen.

It's just silly to read the whole story of a movie just so you don't have to watch it. If I don't want to see a movie, I just don't watch it. If the story interests me (even to the degree of reading something like this) then I'll give the movie a fair shot. OH wait, but that might take some time away from playing Doom 3 and picking your nose.

Your logic (if you call it that) is flawed and a poor analogy at that.

1) If a movie sucks and is not worth the money, can you get a refund? No. However, if you have a crappy meal, you can refuse to pay. If you have bad service, you can leave a small tip. Getting a "free" portion to your meal doesn't make sense.

2) If you think a book sucks, you can sell it. If you watch a crappy movie, can you sell that? No.

3) If I told you about sex, then why would you try it? You already know what's going to happen. If I told you there was a book you could read that would tell you everything you wanted to know about Lord of the Rings, would you still watch it?

4) I think more people would be willing to just go watch movies if they weren't so darned expensive. Sheesh, you make it out like these people are doing something wrong! Movie review sites do a similiar function, just maybe to not this extent.

Get yourself out of this moral panty-twist you're in. The thread was clearly labeled to contain SPOILERS!

I only would read these if I thought that the movie would suck from the previews I had seen. Reading the two spoilers that have been posted confirmed my prediction that The Village and Open Water are pathetic pieces of trash, best left unwatched.

Yes, because everyone thinks disturbing and depressing movies are more "artistic" and therefore better movies. I mean, look at the movies that everyone thinks are great around here. Requiem for a Dream. Pulp Fiction. Fight Club. Full Metal Jacket.

Everyone likes that kind of stuff around here.

The examples you give are all good because they are good, but happen to have sad/unconventional endings. This movie looks and reads like it sucks monkey balls

what really happened off the Great Barrier Reef that day...

- 2 people realized missing 2 days after the boat left the dive site
- slate board found with message saying help us (1 day before) - so they survived at least 1 day
- piece of wetsuit found with damage that looks like it was made from coral reef

The rest is all Hollywood.

I can't believe I went and saw Open Water in the threaters... it was SO boring! It's not even worth a rental, even if you have netflix...

Seriously people, it like scenes of 2 ppl floating in the water cut in with some shark footage from the Discovery Channel...

interesting movie, worth a watch, spoiler or 'script' here doesn't do it any justice. I could write a similar script for the matrix and make it sound boring and then all of you would be thanking me for saving you from watching it..........

So it is similar to phone booth without the phone booth or the city.

Thanks for posting this.

The movie sounds plain boring.
The only part I like is that they argue then die.
I really think writers of this movie should've worked for Titanic as well.

This movie is the movie I wanna show to my girlfrind.

Oh cool! Thanks! I wasnt going to see the movie (I have a slight phobia of the open ocean, so there was no way I was going to pay $$ to see it), but I was curious about what happened.

OMFG! I cannot beleive the shark was cheating with Daniel and the baraccuda was prego with his baby! OMFG! SPOILERS!
