Oh, yes - a single-tab drops down to 1MB when minimized. And that seems to toggle it. When I closed 5 tabs and went back to one, I was still at 44MB, but after I minimized and maximized, it came back at 7MB and gradualy increased to, not 28MB

I've been surfing for a while. Opening and closes many windows, but I haven't closed the browser completly the entire time. Maybe Firefox stores pictures in memory to speed up response time?
