I am trying to use ubuntu exclusive on laptop, but office 2007 doesnt run well enough to use for school notes. Crashes at least once a day.

Anyways i would use open office but the notes page is not usable.

Does anyone know how to make open office presentation notes page/view look more like powerpoints. Where you can actually see both the slide and the notes? Lemme post a screen shot of what i mean...

Your picture's way too small. I won't be able to help in any case, as I don't use Impress, but you might want to make your screeny bigger for others to see.
 
That's what I was going to suggest doing :^( I was just poking around to see if I could get it to look like MS Office. All I really use is Writer, and the Spreadsheet though.
 
Try going to View/Master/Notes Master

It looks like you can resize the areas, and save it as a template.
 
sweet man i think that might do it, hopefully once i set it up i wont have to do each time i open it.
 
its a bit ghetoo but hey it works... to bad office doesnt work perfectly. Its pretty close though. But some symbols dont show up either, sigma, delta all that greek crap

Well nevermind, it doesnt save the format, just saves it to that one file...

Cool... maybe playing with it, you can get it to work better. For the Greek characters... Do you mean in the notes section? I can get them in there using Vista. I don't know about Ubuntu.
 
yeah runing office in ubuntu via crossover doesnt give symbols or sub/super script. So this is really gonna be a deal breaker for ubuntu. Which sucks because i really like it.

Im gonna keep working on it. I like multidesktops, scale... etc wobbly windows lol
