Open in browser instead of download?

I have a woefully-outdated Collaborative site on my network that allows registered users to click on files to download. Simple enough; click the link, and the pop-up appears that says 'Open', 'Save', etc.

I have a user on Windows 98 who is clicking on this link, but instead of going straight to download, her browser is trying to display the file - an AutoCAD .dwg file. Obviously, that's not going to work.

What is the setting? IIRC, it's in Windows Explorer under File Types and then Advanced Properties, right?

this is happening because that person most likely has autocad installed on their system. the same thing happens to me when I click on .pdf files, I have acrobat reader installed, so it tries to open them within the browser using the reader. to fix this, have the user's right click on the link and select 'save target as'. this will let them download the drawing instead of just viewing it.

good luck figuring it out.
