Open Headphones + roommate in dorm. Can I do it?

hey guys i live in a small dorm with a roommate, and I am thinking about getting the icemat siberia headset. it is open back, I am worried that when i use them too much sound will escape and disturb my roommate who sits right behind me. i have never owned a pair of open back headphones so could anyone tell me if this would be a bad idea? thanks.

Probably. He will hear everything you hear rather nicely. Also you will hear most every noise in the dorm through those phones.

That's one of the reasons I got closed cans. I don't care much about out in public, but I don't want to be annoying to someone who is trying to sleep or do something else in the same room as me.
