I want to set up an ftp server, but the computer is behind a firewall. I think I need to open port 21 but I don't know how to go about doing this. Can anybody help?

What firewall or router are you using? Is it software or hardware firewall?

cisco... is this at home or at work? If it's at work, you've gotta contact your network admin.

I've never done this on cisco hardware, not having access to any, but I'd imagine you either need telnet or http into the router's administration console. do you know its IP address and admin password?
