i dont think it has a warranty, but i maybe wrong. If it doesnt you can spend $30 more for a new one. Though thats not really hot it just reg pricing.

Yes. But the return options are limited (15 days, for refund only). You might also buying something someone else returned, might have suffered some damage that won't show up till later.

I thought the much maligned AAK firmware was for Seagate drives. Maybe just a product naming coincidence among different manufacturers?

In for 2 750's, Im pretty sure WD will still accept the 3 year warranty. I'l just have to check once the drives arrive here, if not i can just return it within 15 days. so we will see!

this sure is a great deal, I am torn between it and recertified F1 750GB at CV ($143 shipped, but considerably quiter and faster)

not sure about the warranty, though CV gives you 30 days to return it.

QFT...they go by the date printed on the top of the drive though, not when you bought it though.

Whoah fella! you mean this F1 750GB for 140 shipped not recertified? http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16822152100

no, I did go for the drive in the quoted link, only to cancel it the day after and go for the same drive new for a better price. FYI, check my thread on the CV/newegg deal for F1, you could do better slightly better than with your link and save an extra couple of dollars 🙂
