OOS: Starcraft II: $19.99 at Microcenter

After Diablo 3 I'm done with Blizzard as a company, they have dicked their customers (me) for the last time. I just saw today they are banning accounts that use linux via WINE

You mean how they're banning users that are cheating on WINE? Yeah, they're banning them. They're also investigating their detection just in case it's picking up false positives; they don't care if you're running WINE. Enjoy not playing their great games.

The campaign alone is worth 20 bucks. Online play is YMMV. I dont care for it. Too many assholes. But damn good campaign. Theres like 30 different units.

Damn, it let me order, and they canceled it an hour later. It said for unavailability or for payment authorization. I called customer service and they said I could not order it because it was out of stock, even though the website will still let you order it.

Was looking forward to this.

How'd they botch it with D3? Art? It looks like WoW engine to me (just like SC2 looks like WoW engine as well) (which is botching IMO)

Campaign was boring IMHO. Every other mission was "random person here needs to be saved, so defend this base!" IE non-plot-developing-missions.

Blizzard is so greedy. What the hell game is supposed to stay $60 two years after release? PC games weren't even 60 before SC2, they were 40-50.

people who keep buying it i'm figuring?

that said, blizzard just about died when activision bought them. i mean this game is $60. it doesnt even include a zerg or protess campaign so they can milk gamers for a $40 per in the future too.

I'm pretty sure Call of Duty and BattleField games have been selling for $60 well before Starcraft II's release.
Blizzard wasn't the first to charge $60 for a PC game, and they won't be the last.

No longer available online...

Can someone check if this deal is still available B&M?
I don't feel like driving 1hr away to the MicroCenter in DC to find out.

Where do you get "they should be working for free? DERP" from a comment about how they still charge full price for a game that has been out for years? Why are you even in a hot deals forum looking for discounts if you cannot fathom the audacity of those not wanting to pay full price for two year old games?

Yes. By complaining about them charging full price a full two years after the fact I fully intended to suggest they should be working for free.

Or, you're just an idiot. Either, or.

maybe you should make your own game so you don't have to pay $60? or maybe you could just get a job? 😕

I won't pay $60 for Starcraft 2 either. It is indeed 2 years old, and it forces you to create and use a Battlenet account just to play the single player campaign. I would like to play it someday, but I probably wouldn't pay more than $20 for it, considering the hassle of forcing me to be online.

Thanks, Martimus. I agree, I probably wouldn't pay more then that much either for a two year old game with all those strings attached either. But in any event, the deal is dead and that is that for now.
